This Privacy Policy explains how English Tutor ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and shares information when you use Learn English: AI Tutor (English Tutor), our mobile application for Android (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Learning preferences: your goals, interests, English level, daily practice time, preferred accent and voice settings. These are stored on your device.
- Conversation content: the text of messages you send to Ellie in Free Talk and lesson conversations, and the replies generated for you.
- Voice input: when you tap to speak, the App uses your device's speech recognition service to convert your speech to text. We do not store audio recordings on our servers.
- Feedback: if you choose to send us feedback in the App, we receive your message together with the app version, build type and device language.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and diagnostics: app events (such as screens viewed and features used), session information, crash reports and performance data.
- Device information: device model, operating system version, language, app version and approximate region.
- Identifiers: advertising ID, Firebase installation ID and app instance ID, used for analytics and advertising as described below.
- Install source: information about how you found the App, provided by Google Play Install Referrer.
2. How we use information
- To provide the App's features, including your personalized plan, conversations, pronunciation feedback and speaking reviews.
- To remember your progress and settings on your device.
- To understand how the App is used and to fix bugs and improve performance.
- To show advertising and measure its effectiveness.
- To respond to your feedback and support requests.
3. Third-party services
The App uses the following third-party services, which may collect information according to their own privacy policies:

Conversation text is sent to AI providers only to generate a response. Please do not share sensitive personal information (such as passwords, financial details or health information) in conversations.
4. Advertising and your choices
The App displays ads. Depending on your region, you will be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown, and you can change your choice from the App's privacy settings. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your Android device settings under Google → Ads.
5. Permissions
- Microphone: used only when you choose to speak, for speech recognition and pronunciation feedback.
- Notifications: used to send learning reminders. You can turn them off at any time in system settings.
- Internet and network state: used for conversations, ads, analytics and optional content downloads.
6. Data storage and retention
Your progress, preferences and lesson history are stored locally on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the App or clear its data. Data collected by third-party services is retained according to their policies. Feedback you send is kept only as long as needed to review and act on it.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical measures, including encrypted connections, to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, contact us at the email below.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the "Last updated" date will be revised.
